When I started the project, I considered both
- Hauptwerk and
- MyOrgan
to provide the sound of my instrument.

I did experiment with demonstration versions of both softwares. My choice went fairly quickly to Hauptwerk for a few reasons:
- full support for the MIDI in and out (I wanted to control all the stop solenoïds of my console),
- fantastic support from the folks at Crumhorn Labs, and
- I knew someone who was running this software successfully and a buddy with experience is always helpful.

I'm currently running Hauptwerk version 2.21 Concert Edition (International) and I'm very pleased with it.
