Here is what we know so far about this couple.
Joseph LACROIX used the names CROSS and LACROIX
DOMITHILDE also used the first name Mathilda and we find records of LOVELY for LAVALLEE.
Their children:
Joseph CROSS married 1864 at Fairfax to Edesse VACHON.
William CROSS married ???? to Henriette BOUCHER (BUTCHER, BUSHER)
Edward CROSS married 1874 at Fairfax to Rose-Anne LEVEILLEE from Chambly
Sophia CROSS born 17-05-1858 St-Mary's Church, St-Albans et deceased 1859 at St-Albans.
The burial of a Mathilda LAVALLÉE spouse of ..... LACROIX
was celebrated September 7, 1861 at St-Mary's catholic church, St-Albans.
A card was found at Montpellier Vitals showing a Joseph LACROIX
born 28-08-1818 and deceased 08-03-1900 from Canada.
On June 20, 1844 a Mathilda LAVALLÉE was Godmother at Standbridge
( répertoire des Missions des Cantons de l'Est par Mme Faribeault-Beauregard)
with Pierre ROLLAND Godfather, he is the spouse of Amable PAQUET dit LAVALLÉE.
Therefore Mathilda could be PAQUET dit LAVALLÉE.
On September 11, 1846 a Jean LACROIX is witness at the burial of M.E. GIGON at Stanstead,
a location in Quebec near Vermont.(Mission des Cantons de l'Est).
It is known that the descendants of Jean and Joseph LACROIX were related,
as the children called themshelves cousins.
And possibly Mathilda is also related to Marian LAVALLEE.

Adolphe CADORET & Cécile HAMEL
Found on Trois-Rivières microfilm at the ANQ:
Aimé Félix CADORET, son of de Adolphe (barber) and Cécile HAMEL,
married to Marie-Léa DUVAL, widow of Edouard PRATTE,
witness: Narcisse DUSSEAULT and Léandre CADIEUX......
The grand-children of Félix and Marie-Léa always pretended that
their grand-parents were married in the U.S.A., but we know find that Félix et Marie-Léa
were married atTrois-Rivières.
Could they mean it was their great-grand-parents that were married in the U.S.A. ?
