Located in Petit Matane, on the ocean shore, the old General Store was abandoned for 25 years. Two years ago, Christiane Simard bought the house on Chemin de la grève. The store was totally renovated and is now a restaurant as well as a small convenience store. The décor brings you to its original setting. There is a small museum bringing one back to 50 years of history. Adjacent to the store, there is a house available to summer vacationers for a weekly rental fee. It is a worthwhile opportunity to experience this memorable site.

A dining area has been built in the basement level of the General Store to accomodate gatherings with family and friends.  The décor of the dining area in the basement is that of the hold of the ship LongFellow that came to ground near the store in 1902.
