On that day, it was very clear that Mrs Lafleur ans Mrs Gagnon were the subjects of a very violent argument. Moreover, there were whispers all over the area about Mrs Lafleur's daughter, Juliette, being pregnant and that the father would be Mrs Gagnon'son.

"It is impossible for me to watch over my eight sons every minute of the day. It is up to you to keep your daughters at home. We restrain the hens, we burn loose the rosters, Madam!" screamed Mrs Gagnon furious.

"Easy to say, Madam, I keep and eye on my daughters but your son broke into my daughter's room. He climbed along the front wall using a cable...I forbid you to hold me responsible for this situation..."

And the Discussion was growing acrimonious. Juliette's grandparents had heard everything and were desperate. Juliette's father was coming back from his usual stroll with his horse and his four youngest children and was astonished to hear that. "It can't be true, though he, Juliette, my dearest,in only fifteen...".

The cries of the two woman had frightened little Justin. He was attempting to separate his mother from the neighbour. As for Aurélie, she was tied to her mother's apron strings.
