Jean-Paul Beaulé
1923 -
Born
September 9, 1923, Jean-Paul spent his childhood on the family
farm. He was a member of the young breeders' association.
He collected the cannisters of milk for the local dairy and he
also worked for the local telephone company. Then he went to
work for Breton Transport, where he was employed for thirty-eight
years.
Just like his brothers and his ancestors, he was involved in the parish. As commissioner,
he participated in the construction of the present school and the centralization
of the one-room schoolhouses. He was also a member of the parish council and
the parish choir.
On August 21, 1952, he marries Rollande Thibodeau born May 25, 1930. She is the
daughter of Philibert Thibodeau and Marie-Rose Labbé. They will have five
children: Denise, Hélène, Marcel, France and Claude.
Rollande,
for her part, takes on the role of homemaker. At least, that
is what she is perceived to be by those that don't know her.
For the others, she is seamstress, hairdresser, parish choir
director, artist and artisan in many crafts.
She was always ready to give a helping hand at her parents' grocery store and
butcher shop. She is always generous with her time to help her neighbors. It's
for this reason that mom did not work---She had too much work.
On the photo we can see Jean-Paul at 20 years old with his uncle Alfred and wife
Yvonne, his aunt Sara, and his sisters: Marthe, Gilberte, Thérèse.
