Blue Door is located in the neighbourhood of Villeray, just a few subway stops north of the hip “Le Plateau” area, in Montreal, Quebec. Our house is a 10-minute walk to the Metro (Montreal’s safe and modern subway system), a 2-minute walk to the bus stop on Boulevard St-Laurent – “The Main” - and a few blocks from two major highways.

Our dynamic and diverse neighbourhood is peppered with cafés and interesting, moderately priced restaurants – from Portuguese and Italian, to Peruvian and Salvadorian.

We are a 20-minute walk to Little Italy, an Asian market and the famous Jean Talon Market – a year-round open air farmers’ market. The market also boasts a variety of boutiques and food kiosks for your shopping and culinary pleasure.

Just a 5-minute walk from the house, there is a lovely, large park with a pond for ice-skating in the winter and a dog run for those of you who are traveling with your puppies! This park, Jarry Park, also boasts world-class indoor and outdoor tennis facilities where the Canada Masters tournament is held every summer. This summer, come see Venus Williams at the (Rogers Cup) Canadian Open women’s event, from July 26 - August 3, 2008, at Jarry Tennis Centre (Uniprix Stadium).

For shopping enthusiasts, we are an easy distance to the Rockland Shopping Centre and the popular Marché Central with its vast array of outlet stores, a major cinema and restaurants.

We are also a nice Metro ride away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown core, the culture and romance of Old Montréal, and vibrant St. Denis Street and its Latin Quarter filled with funky boutiques and cafés.
