Biography

EARLY CHILDHOOD
Eugene Forward was born on November
23, 1920 on the south shore between St. Lambert and Longueuil. He was the ninth
of Helen and Hugh Forward's ten children, Willis, Josephine, Doris, Frank,
Helda, Winnie, Helen, Kenith, Eugene and Roy. His father died when Eugene was
only nine years old.

EDUCATION
Although Eugene quit school in grade
six to help his family, he did not stop learning. Even though he earned only six
dollars a week as a carpenters apprentice he did not he learned how to be a
carpenter. His education continued in the army, where he learned many new skills

Life
Eugene married
Margaret Stewart Weir Hogg, they had two children, Bruce and Maureen (Moe).
They lived in Hudson in a three bedroom house the he built from a small summer cottage.
He worked a a carpenter for the veteran's hospital in Senneville. He also
bought a cottage across the street in Hudson and rebuilt it from the ground up.
Today
After Margaret and
Moe died he moved to Lancaster, Ontario. He has three grandchildren, Karen, Tanya, and
Stacey and six great grandchildren, Tyler, Carly, Ryan, Lauren, Connor,
and Grace. Now he lives with his friend Anne and Rosita, the parrot in
another house he renovated.
