WRITINGS

 

Brian Campbell's second collection is Passenger Flight (Signature Editions, 2009.) His poetry has appeared numerous literary magazines, including Grain , Poetry Canada Review , The New Quarterly, Prairie Fire, The Antigonish Review and the internet reviews Dusie and Nth Position. Campbell was a finalist for the 2006 CBC Literary Award for Poetry . He is also on the Quebec Writer's Federation list of Writers in CEGEPS, and has conducted lectures and workshops in the schools both under that program the League of Canadian Poet's National Poetry Month program. Undressing the Night , his translation of selected poems of the Nicaraguan-Canadian poet Francisco Santos, was published in 2007 by Editorial Lunes, Costa Rica. Brian Campbell is the co-editor of Sky of Ink Press, which was set up with the express purpose of publishing talented poets in finely crafted chapbooks. So far, the press has produced two titles: Nina Bruck'sStill Light at Five O'Clock, which won this year's WCDR Poetry Chapbook Challenge; and Jocelyne Dubois' Hot Summer Night. Guatemala and Other Poems, Campbell's first collection, was published in 1994 by Window Press in Toronto .
