Coming Events

Due to the transit strike, and since many of our members use the bus and metro system, we have decided to postpone the Craft and Critique evening scheduled for Thursday evening, May 24th, at the Y. It has been postponed until the 31st of May. We apologize any inconvenience this may have caused but, in reality, we are not the ones who should be apologizing. We have a list of those who planned to come and read on the 24th. Please let us know if there is any change to be made for the 31st.... only if there is a change. Keep watching our website for further notices and keep checking your e-mail.

Thursday, May 31st, 2007, 7:00 pm - Our next 'Craft and Critique' meeting is to take place at the YMCA at 4585 Sherbrooke street West (514-931-6770 for information about their premises, etc...), in their Dino Den. Bring any works you might want to read, whether finished or in progress. You'll get to hear a raft of new material from other writers and tell them what you think of it, and you'll hear the opinions of your fellow members concerning your own work.

We are planning a Creative Writing Workshop, focusing on the proper use of grammer and punctuation, led by Aniko Koranyi. It will take place in August. A nominal fee will be charged. If you are interested, please let us know in advance at executive@canadianwriterssociety.com.
