The Canadian Writers Society has few set rules. Plagiarism is a no-no. Falling asleep during a "Read and Feed(back)" is impolite. Mooning the audience while onstage is quite gauche. Otherwise, pretty much anything goes. :))
We charge members an annual Membership Fee of $35.00, which goes to cover the costs of renting meeting halls and auditoriums, supplying photocopies and workshop materials needed, etc.... |

To advertise the C.W.S. Mission Mandate, books and services.

To showcase member talent through "Poem of the Month" and "Short Story of the Month".

To inform visitors to the website of up-coming events, meetings, "Reading and Feedback" evenings, workshops, creative writing courses and C.W.S. anthologies, contests and special events.

To focus on the "craft" of writing.

To advertise members free of charge on the website. Non-members can be advertised for a fee..
