Founded in Montreal 1984, Danse 501 Dance offers a wide variety of fun and exciting dance classes. Al Gilbert Tap for children, New York Style Tap, Jazz and Ballet. We feature Cechetti Classical Ballet, Lyrical, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop and Musical Comedy. Children’s classes are offered from 2 ½ years old and up as well as classes for teens and adults. Joining our dynamic dance school provides a great setting to learn new skills, relax and get in shape while at the same time meeting new friends. Children learn from an early age a sense of accomplishment and develop an improved sense of well-being. During the year our school organizes fund-raising events to help students pay for costumes and workshops. A magical show is staged by all dancers at years end for everyone to enjoy.

All classes are taught by expert, professional instructors under the direction of Linda Howell, who was fortunate to study dance with highly regarded professional dancers and teachers such as Sheila Lawrence and René Godin in Montreal, Al Gilbert in California, Joe Tremaine & Luigi in New York and Eva Von Gency of Germany. Linda's numerous years of study in the art of Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Musical Comedy have allowed her to qualify as an accredited teacher in these four disciplines. Linda was granted teacher's Cert- ificates from: René Godin, Joe Tremaine, Dance Educators of America, Dance Olympus in New York and Al Gilbert of California.
