"A la Dauphinelle is a must when visiting the Quebec region!"
(Quotation from our Guest book)

Nestled in the heart of the historical district of Sainte-Petronille de Beaulieu, La Dauphinelle invites you to come and enjoy quietness and rest in this enchanting setting. The warm ambiance of the beautiful victorian houses of yesterday, the furniture, old paintings, cosy bedrooms and friendly welcome of the owners will turn your stay into a precious moment.

In the shade of century-old oak trees, you can relax in the garden and day-dream to your heart's content. In the morning, in our warm and intimate dining room, you'll be spoiled with a copious breakfast prepared by André: our orange-flavored "pigweed" pancakes or our egg benedict "Orleanese" and our home made jams will tickle your palate. Depending on the season, you might also have the opportunity to taste the wild mushroom omelette. The wild mushrooms are freshly picked by André.

We have three beautiful rooms decorated with period furniture and souvenirs. They all have in suite bathrooms. Our rooms are dedicated to famous romantic couples who's love story occured during the twentieth century and is still very present in the memories of many of us.

FOYER DU GRAND SALON

Built around 1890 by a retired colonel of the British army, this summer house was acquired at the beginning of the century by Raoul Dandurand, a Montreal lawyer and diplomat. He was the second President of "The League of Nations" in 1925. In the beginning of the past century, his Sainte-Petronille summer house has seen many diplomats, representatives of the church, politicians and businessmen from all over the world.

Thanks to the vigilance of the previous owners, this beautiful house has survived the years without losing its original virtues. The present owners have succeeded in preserving it's authenticity, while making a few reasonable concessions to modern comfort.

Come rest in the shade of century-old oak trees, walk through the village along the majestuous St-Lawrence river while admiring Quebec City in the sunset.
