The attrition war over the trenches is transformed in a lightning war...BLITZGRIEGSince september 1939 Germany used her air force, the Luftwaffe, to defeat Poland, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium and France. What were the combats over the Old continent? In the meantime war erupted north between the USSR and tiny Finland, Japan and China struggled to gain air superiority. Years before the civil war in Spain pitted the fascist against the communists. After France fell the British Fighter Command saved Britain against the Luftwaffe. The european air war spread also to the Mare Nostrum and over the barren lands of North-Africa where Great-Britain fought against, Germany, Vichy France and Italy. Blitzkrieg is the Warbirds module showing the dogfights and the air to ground combats from 1937 to 1941.
