What is CANVAS FALCONS

5 October 1914
On board a Voisin III corporal Quénault shot down an Aviatik flown by leutnant Van Zangen near Rheims, France. This first kill heralded a new era in warfare; the use of flying machines to gain air supremacy.
With air supremacy your aircraft can roam at will to observe, bomb, shoot the enemy in the air, over water and on the ground. With Canvas Falcons you will recreate these deadly encounters to gain supremacy.
Canvas Falcons place you in the cockpit of a “Knight of the air”.

Tactical Scale Game (TAC)

In Canvas Falcons, each aircraft counter represents one aircraft, each vehicle counter represents one vehicle, gun counters represent one or two guns with crews and infantry counters represent units of 10 to 20 men. Every game turn is 4.5 seconds. Altitude is measured in 50 ft increments (inc.) and speed is measured in flight points that represent 15 m.p.h. (miles per hour). Each hex on the game map is 100 ft across.

Operational Scale Game (OP)

In Canvas Falcons, each counter represents one or more aircraft in a formation. Each game turn is 10 minutes, 133 TAC turns. The operational map hexes are 3 miles across.
