This is yet another of my reviews of CD-ROM programs for adults that don't involve blowing people up into tiny little bits in all-gory detail. I judge programs on a scale of 1-5 based on Quality, Action/Interaction, and Erotic Appeal. 5 being the king and 1 not worth the disc it was burned on.

Kosher? Cool!

PlanIt Playboy CD-ROM Datebook (Anomaly, $29.95)

Now here's something for the home office! If you need to keep track of events, things to do, and who to contact, this is for you! PlanIt Playboy is THE planner software for adults who like the beautiful women that made Playboy famous. Included in the program are the things that made Playboy famous, such as samples from the Playmate Advisor, cute terms from Playboy's Dictionary, hilarious Party Jokes, samples from the prestigious Playboy Interview…

Oh, and did I forget to mention the Playmates? Yes, every day a different playmate picture, some of them unpublished exclusives of playmates dating back to the 1960's. And for every month there is a Playmate as well as the Playmate of the Year (Julie Cialini) with their own video clip for you to view. What's best about this is if you want to include your OWN picture you can import it and use it to replace one of PlanIt Playboy's images for the day, month, or year. (Unfortunately this only works if your images are in Kodak PhotoCD format.)

If you don't know your way around the program, you can click on the tutorial and have Playmate of the Year Renee Tenison provide you with a quick tour.

The best part has to be some of the exclusive video and sound clips you can use to remind yourself of important occasions. These aren't used clips from movies or TV shows- these are exclusive clips of Playmates, some of them on location at the Playboy Mansion. They are VERY tasteful reminders.

There is some bad news with the program, however. The program is actually part of a series of PlanIt programs from Anomaly. Similar planner, various themes. But they never really sold because of more successful planner programs such as Lotus Organizer and Day Timer. So aside from doing a mad hunt in software stores for PlanIt Earth or PlanIt Paradise, you can't really update the program with more modern versions. And I have already been told by Playboy New Media that they are not planning on coming up with updates.

OK, OK.. so it may not be great to have on your computer at work (unless you want to be sued for sexual harassment) but if you have a home office, or just a PC at home (or in your dorm room) and you want something different to remind you of events, this is the program.
