Fans of Jeannie [M.] Millar and Jacqueline Lovell [of PB video "Freshman Class" fame] may want to check out the newly released [to rental] film, "The Key to Sex."
Synopsis: Scott Carson plays our hero, a lowly assistant at a small independent film company who dreams of becoming a screenwriter and even [surprise, surprise] has a script under draft. He also dreams, in the flick's rather pleasant introductory sequence, of the firm's receptionist [Millar] but she's having an affair with the company's married junior partner. This three-timing partner is also having an affair with a rival movie producer [Monique Parent.] The trouble [and fun] starts when the senior partner takes a trip and entrusts our hero with the key [that of the title] to his palacial Malibu estate, [or should that be ecstate?] Nice guys may in fact finish first and even get the girl, but which girl? Jacqueline Lovell plays the lascivious, but brainy, stripper girlfriend of our hero's roommate.
Comments: The sex is a bit lame with some of the most unconvincing and poorly dubbed orgasms on record though Lovell does project a portion of her usual raw sexuality and Millar has a melodious purr, charming even with her clothes on. Carson is very likable, the quintessential "too nice guy." The film's strength lies in its humor; light, not quite rolling in the aisles nor a campy chucklefest either.
P.S. I also saw the flick "Vampirella" with Corinna Harney and Roger Daltrey as villianess and villian, respectively. It was tolerable though only the most devout Corinnaphiles need rush out to see it. Her PMOY video is a much better bet.
