I would have to say that I was disappointed with the video. In a nutshell, It had WAY WAY too much recycled video in it. I would guess that well over half the tape was recycled video -- not only that, the recycled stuff was poorly edited. There was video in it that I hadn't seen before, but that I was pretty sure was recycled (due to the fact that it may have shown a PM that I haven't noticed doing any active work with PB in the last few years). I would almost bet that the only video that wasn't recycled is the RJM, Daphne Duplaix, and Julia Shultz segments -- they are the hostesses of the video, BTW. The editing of the video gives it an almost "frantic" appearance. I was waiting to see how long the credits were at the end. I half-expected to see every playmate from the last ten years listed. As it turned out, NONE of the models were listed. The profit margin on the video must be pretty big.

I like videos in the style of the "Girls of Hawaiian Tropic" or "W&W: Hot Holidays." Each segment is all about the same model/models/or couple in the same situation. This video seem to be frantically changing between scenes. In some instances, you have multiple vignettes going simultaneously. Five or ten seconds of the 1st, 5 or 10 seconds of the 2nd, etc., then start over with #1.

BTW, I liked Sunare Cornell in the "College Girls" video (as I mentioned here in another post, which is probably in this same digest if my timing is good). I could swear that she is in a couple (man/woman) segment. If so and if it's recycled can someone tell me what video this came from? It could have been some old stock that was never used I suppose (or maybe it's actually new, but I doubt it). I'd guess that it was probably used in a "Fantasies" type video.

I'll list a couple of quick comments I noted:

1. I always knew DD had a great bod, but didn't realize just how cute her butt was until seeing her in action.
2. There is a good scene with some girls fighting with squirt guns that I liked - It has the effect of being shot with a video camera at a high shutter speed - don't know if this can be accomplished with filming, but either way, it gave it a "home video" look, but obviously with higher quality.
3. Fair amount of Girl/Girl action if you like that sort of thing. Most was the touchy-feely-while-undressing sort of thing, but I remember one segment that actually had two women open-mouth kissing each other, and another (may have been the same models - don't remember off-hand) where they were grinding in the missionary position.
4. In one scene on a beach, the camera is following this ~VERY~ cute butt (naked, of course) and I then realize when the camera angle changes that it's none other than Lisa Matthews. No, I can't quite recognize PMs by their rear, but hers ranks up there with the best! (I may be motivated to pull out her PMOY video now -- haven't seen it in a while).
5. for RJM fans (of which I'm one), there's an interesting tidbit where she's introducing a segment entitled "Nipples" where she says that she likes having her chest and nipples rubbed. Thanks for sharing! :-) Is she looking for a volunteer?
6. Those that hate Jenny McCarthy's mugging it up for the camera will hate the 1st few seconds of Julia Shultz's segment. She's so darn cute, but occasionally, her age starts showing. She had been my favorite PM of 1998 so far based on her PM pictorial, but after seeing her on Howard's E! show and seeing her in this video, I'm reserving my "favorite" vote for an as yet unseen PM.
7. The segment entitled "Dancing" has Angel Boris' dance on the beach from the GOHT video. This one is severely edited - I'd recommend buying GOHT.
8. In the "Love Making" segment, some of Shana Hiatt's appearance in GOHT is used. However, it was severely edited. This is worth mentioning because it seems it was edited in an attempt to clean it up. In the GOHT video, it appears as though her genitals are engorged - one of the more erotic segments I've ever seen in a PM video.

The video does have a few good moments, but the high amount of recycled video ruins what I think is a great concept. I kept thinking of Playmates from the last two or three years that were very natural that I was hoping to see. PM's like Angel Boris, Cindy Brown, Echo Johnson, Elisa Bridges, Kona Karmack, Ulrika Ericsson, Jennifer Allan, and a few others that my sleep-deprived brain can't kick out. Actually every PM I mentioned in that last sentence may be in the video. I specifically remember Angel Boris and Kona, but recycled video (Angel) or seeing only about 10 seconds of her (Kona rolling in the surf in a bikini) I don't think qualifies. I'd like to see the usual 5-6 minute vignettes of each of these.

I'm hoping someone else will post their thoughts on this video. I'm curious to know if I'm being too harsh. Also, we all have varying opinions of videos. Someone on the list posted about how much they loved Petra's video (from her web site), yet I was somewhat disappointed with it. Getting multiple opinions would be nice.

Here's my review of the PB video "Naturals" hosted by Playmates Rachel [Jean] Marteen, Daphnee Duplaix, and Julia Schultz.

[Spoiler alert!!!! The best [new] part of this video is the dialogue by the hostesses, some of which is recorded herein. If you're a fan of one of the hostesses and don't like spoilers, call it a keeper and read no more.]

A comprehensive review would be tedious and encyclopedic rather than informative, so we'll be short and mostly sweet. As previously noted, this video consists largely of selected short clips from PB videos of the nineties arranged roughly by themes such as Lingerie, Making Love, Nipples, Bigger is Better, and so forth. They could just as well titled it "Best of 90's PB Video." Some of the clips are so short you could blink and miss Corinna Harney or Brittany York. On the other hand, one of Anna-Marie Goddard's vidcal segments is used in almost its entirety.

I found this video fun precisely because I have such a large PB video collection. I bet I scored 100% on PM recognition, 90% on video recognition, and less well on segment and timepoint recognition. It was very self-aggrandizing to see a clip and mentally tally

I'm not completely convinced they actually confirmed that each and every breast appearing is indeed natural, there's just too many of them. Though I am pleased by the inference that Sammy Torres' pair are natural.

The hostesses make the video. Daphnee's reading was very smooth and her video sub-profile was dynamically reminiscent of Elisa Bridges', I bet it was the same director. Rachel's early lines were a bit choppy for an aspiring actress to my dismay, though she did smooth out for her monologues. [Did I just say something mean about our goddess of indeterminate size? I'm glad that Nigel hasn't had much practice with that lightning bolt generator :-) ] Rachel's critique of her own nipples is hysterical. If you know the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, you'll have the gist of her arguments. In another monologue, Rachel gives sound advice on lovemaking though at one point she corrects from "...one great moment [of lovemaking]" to "...hours and hours..." Finally, the previously unseen clips, if they are at all representative, convince me that Rachel's video profile is well worth having in its entirety. There's one shot of RJM in glistening white lingerie that is to die for...

Rachel generally played straight girl to the others punchlines. At one point, she was talking about teasing a date with glimpses of her lingerie, using the expression, "slowly pulling in his chain" when the other girls jumped on her metaphorical use of the word "chain" and starting teasing her about "...whips and chains..." And the very best line belongs to Julia, in an ad-lib session after the credits. The girls tease the viewer, "OK you can push Stop now." Then Rachel suggests, "Well, you could push Pause."

Now Julia delivers, "I give good Pause..."

as she bares her bosom.
