When one looks at the collection of beautiful women that have graced the issues of Playboy over the years, it's sometimes easy to forget that even Playmates aren't immune to the hands of time. Time can be both kind and cruel, and while I've been demonstrating the latter, eight Playmates have demonstrated the former.

The idea behind "Playmates Revisited" is not a new one. If anyone has viewed some of the earlier Playmate videos, they've been treated to special segments of Playmates past, including Cindi Wood and Jo Collins. Even Playboy's Celebrity Video of Shannon Tweed could be considered a large-scale version of "Playmates Revisited," since Shannon is, by far, one of the more recognized Playmates from the early 1980's.

But "Playmates Revisited" has to be, by far, one of the better videos Playboy has ever produced.

The video starts with a visual montage of images of each of the eight Playmates, masterfully done to the heartfelt song of "The Best Is Yet To Come." The credits don't mention who performed the song, but considering several of the Playmates shown are talented singers, it would not surprise me in the least if it was their angelic voices.

Each of the videos feature past pictures and clips of the Playmates of their younger years, followed by the Playmates continuing the story in their own words, followed by their new video clips. Obviously the eight Playmates have all matured well over the years, but the biggest change has to be with Kathy Shower (Miss May 85/PMOY 86). Aside from the face and hands, she is almost a completely different woman from her videos of ten years earlier, right down to the blue angel tattoo just south of her pierced navel.

What is often not mentioned when one thinks of a Playmate is what happens after their time in the limelight is over, and each of the Playmates featured in this video best prove that their futures after Playboy were indeed up to them. From charity work to movie producing to motherhood, each of these women have excelled.

All in all, this is an exceptional video not only for the fans of the Playmates featured, but for Playboy in general.
