The Wiki-Commandments are the earliest antique teachings of Discordian practice introduced by Adam under the tutellage of Eris Kallisit Discordia while she was incarnated as is spare rib partner, Eve. They are often compared with the ten commandments of Christianity or the ten precepts of Buddhism, however, the wiki-commandments are different in many respects. First, anyone can edit, modify or delete them at will. After all, they were written by Adam who was just a man. He simply happened to be the first one. Also, they are to be taken as nonsense not as recommendations or commandments. This means that nobody has to actually understand or even know of their existence in order for them to apply – as a matter of fact, unlerarning them is the most effective way of avoiding attempts at immanentizing an Eschaton. Thinking one finally “got it” is often the first step to refusal of new ideas, of others and usually turns out to be a necessary and sufficient condition to explain most bloodbaths, wars and genocides ever perpetrated by the human race. Using one’s intelligence to apply these Wiki-Commandments is strongly discouraged, it is the gut reaction that the reading of these Wiki-Commandments produces which is of importance, not the actual Wiki-Commandments per se. These Wiki-Commandments are tools for creating an impact – to imminentize a grenzsituationen – hoping this will lead to immanentization of some awarenes which will likely be as diverse as there are different individuals reading them. If two discordians interpret them exactly the same way and are in total accord with them, then their purpose will have been lost. Do not forget, they may be nonsense, but they are not meaningless. |

The five Wiki-Commandments are mandatory for every Discordians. They are to be chosen from a list of a minimum of 10 Wiki-Commandments with no indication from Goddess Eris Kallisit Discordia as to which are actually meant to be followed and which are meant to be avoided. Consult your pineal gland but don’t get your hopes up. The extra Wiki-Commandments are thrown in the mix because Eris Kallisiti Discordia knows that true Discordians will intuitively make the proper choice whereas Greyfaces will simply be thrown in disarray by ambiguity. After all, what else can you expect from the Goddess of Chaos? These Wiki-Commandments are likely to be modified without prior notice at any time. Come visit this page often, you never know when the recipe that will immanentize your crank will be here. |

The above phrasing of the Wiki-Commandments is very precise and does not leave anything open to interpretation. Anyone trying to wordsmith or outsmart the Goddess wil be trangressicuted. Despite this, further clarifications provided by Adam concerning their obervance will be provided as soon as the translation work is completed. These Wiki-Commandments
DO NOT take precendence over the Pentabarf or over any other good Discordian
catma. Remember, Adam was still only human. One can refuse to abide by
any of these Wiki-Commandments as long as one agrees to suffer the consequences
thereof which will be terrible. No one will hold anyone accountable but
oneself and oneself can be one’s worst judge, or not. Still, it is not
because you will not be held accountable that it means that you stand nothing
to loose from not abiding by the Wiki-Commandments. It is not because there
are no witnesses that no
wrong is done when wrong is done. But then … who is to say what is wrong
and what is left. Are you playing with yourself right where you are sitting
now? If no, how come? If yes, can I watch?
