The Enlightenment Creed Some geek in the corner addressed the assembly: "When man fails, that greater than man does not take up the neglected work, it goes to waste. Human beings of the earth have become despondent and disrespectful of their earthly condition and their mortal coil. Humans are the manifestation of the godhead, whatever that might be, unto a physical body. Yet, human beings have thrust themselves deeply in searches and quests for the heavens and dilapidated their thoughts in hopes of redemption from above, of enlightenment, of higher meaning. Many perceive as worthy and wise only that which does not issue from earthly condition. Many enmeshed human beings tear at one another, deprive one another of basic human love and decency for seeing another one's God as a false idol or another one's prayer as heresy and blasphemy. Many feel only a higher power as they understand it can save them. Many feel accomplishments have value only if it leads to opening the gates of heaven, in breaking the cycle of reincarnation and attaining nirvana, in an invitation to the banquet of Odin, or in (insert your own preferred salvation destination here). Many have immanentized the eschaton. Many put more importance in the eternal peace of paradise or in the life after life. They seek salvation beyond life, in death. When such a condition exists in earthly life and completely hides the joy of earthly existence, the earth is rent asunder. Those that manifest any degree of self-abasement or righteousness come to feel justified to judge, condemn and execute. This is manifestation, the opposite of emergence. Attempting to achieve on earth a condition that is not of this world. Confusing values. They are good, decent, god fearing, spiritual, wise, enlightened ... peoples, yet, their belief lead them to hate, to judgment, to murder. This will not come to pass. When a nation and a people invests much time praying, meditating, pondering about salvation, enlightenment, good and evil, it stops receiving from the higher condition. Emergence is hindered by manifestation. It is then that the peoples of one nation turn against other nations, turn against one another, people turn against their own body. Good decent people despise, destroy and belittle what they, and others, have physically reared and deserved. This destruction brings hate, anger and death in an ever growing upward spiral of aggression, confidence and self-righteousness. The great destruction sacrifices innumerable human beings to the altar of salvation. When humans want to gain or give enlightenment they fail to receive a single ray of the higher light. This period of great destruction could only be brought to end if humans would give up their values, their faith and their beliefs and accepted to submit to peace. This will not happen to nations and societies. It can only happen to individuals, one at a time. When humans seek for their life to have a higher meaning, for it to not be ephemeral and in vain, they deny themselves the true meaning of life. The beauty of the ephemeral, what makes life so precious is that if you do not seize it now, it is gone and can never be got back. Many reach for the meaning of life in the after-life. The after-life is death. There is no salvation beyond life, there is no meaning beyond the grave. You have been given a godly gift of life. Like an ungrateful kid your interest lies in finding out what the next gift is, the next gift is death, eternal peace and harmony, total end of selfishness, of selflessness, of self-interest, of anger and greed, of peace and love, total freedom from all, total freedom for all, total end of self, end of existence, end of life. Do not fail to enjoy what you have now, your life. Because if you do, you are wasting away your precious instants in the quest to understand what lies behind what is. Lost minutes of your life are lost for all of eternity, and eternity is a mighty long time. Gods and goddesses are really annoyed when they see humans not enjoying the gift they were given, they feel crossed and disrespected. Do you really want to cross and disrespect the Gods and goddesses. Then again is might something else altogether or all at once. Smile, you're on candid life. |
