Jean-Guy Vailles is an
independent musician who composes, performs and produces his own music. When he was
young, he took piano lessons for about 5 years and continued
to perfect his art on his own. He stopped playing the piano in his
teens and the encounter of a Violist and his future wife
has awakened his musical soul. Then, he started to practice and
compose again.
He is
influenced by different schools of music like Rock, Folk, Blues,
Jazz, Progressive Rock and Classical music. In his last album the pieces are a mix of jazz and classical music performed by
himself on piano and his wife Chantal Monastesse on viola (
Ensemble musical Cordial (Monastesse)).
