19th Century - Commemoratives and Armorial Portrait Plates

Wallis Gimson, a potter in Fenton, Staffordshire, England created a series of armorial portrait plates as well as plates displaying important buildings and monuments between 1884 and 1890.

	"RIGHT HON. / SIR / JOHN A. MACDONALD / K.C.B.", armorial portrait plate attributed to Wallis Gimson, c. 1884.		Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee Plate with the arms of the Dominion of Canada in upper right corner, attributed to Wallis Gimson, 1887.
