2nd Period -  Miniatures Goss, Arcadian, Carlton, Florentine & Others

In the 1880s Adolphus Goss began producing miniature china displaying the arms of various British towns and cities. Collecting heraldic porcelain miniatures became a national obsession in the late Victorian and Edwardian eras. Early in the 20th century to1930 many other manufacturers such as Carlton China, The Foley China, Arcadian or Willow Art as well as German and Bohemian manufacturers followed suit. The Canadian market proved to be an important outlet, a fact that is little known today.
