Jimstars UFBL Mock draft 2011
Round 1
1.CLE : B. Harper : I cant see how Cleveland GM could pass on this guy. There is not a lot of young talents in Offense in CLE, Mr. Harper will help in 2012.
2.CLE : M.Trout : For the same reason as pick no. 1, Clevaland manager needs offense. There is not a lot of hope for 2011, but 2012 and after could be bright with a combo of Harper or Trout in the line up. CLE got foundation for a dynasty.
3.STL : F. Freeman: With the trade of Howard last season, there is a hole at 1st . Freeman will be a good contributor starting this year... Not the same impact of Heyward with ATL, but not that far.
4.BOS : G. Gonzalez : This team will appreciate the opportunity to find another SP contributor for this year. The managing in NEW BOS will be different than OLD BOS. K's will be there for sure...
5.OAK : C. Mcgehee: I am pretty confident that if McGehee is available, OAK will pick him. I see a little drop in statline, but Milwaukee lineup will be good for him...
6.CLE : J. Garcia : After picking young and not so ready, Cleveland management will pick young and ready to shine. Pithing with STL will help him with Wins, for the rest, we will see...
7.WSH : R. Romero : This pitcher will offer better stats than new teammate Pineiro, Zito and Wang. A nice steady progression from this pitcher, WSH will benefit from his support.
8.OAK : D.Stubb : In Oakland last year, AVG. was not really good. Stubb will not help Oak management in AVG, but a killer combo of HR and SB is interesting.
9.KC : G. Kimbrel : If KC manager doesnt get what he wants in TAG players, Kimbrel could be a nice pick, a future all-star closer.
10.KC : A. Jackson: With that 2nd pick in a row, Jackson offers AVG, R and SB, he plays in a very good offensive lineup...
11.NYY : B. Morrow: NYY will try to make it big in 2011, he will need depth in pitching, Morrow is what he needs.
12.STL : J. Chacin : Pat « High risk High reward » Teoli, will land this promising pitcher, Chacin will help this year.
Round 2
1.CLE : S. Marcum : Future is good, but present is also important and Marcum will help CLE this year.
2.CLE : I. Davis : In UFBL, most of the best 1st baseman are signed, Davis could be a good option even for 2011...
3.STL : J. Teheran : If there is one GM that could piss ANA GM off, this is PAT, he will bid on the player Jim was planning to get. Every year STL gets a pick right before ANA and he gets THE player ANA wanted, 2011 will be no different.
4.ANA : G. Desme : Pissed off, ANA pick a good player for the future in offensive categories.
5.OAK: M. Pineda : This is a good pick. Pineda will pitch with Seatlle, watching Felix steadily cant be bad for a young promising SP.
6.ANA: M. Minor : With Teheran gone and with the success Hanson gave to ANA, ATL pitcher will shine again on draft day...
7.WSH : B.Gardner: A leadoff hitter on a roster stacked like the Yankees, and still available... What a day, nice pick by WSH.
8.ANA : B Belt : With a 3rd pick in the round, ANA will get another young offensive player for the future...
9.BOS : J. Axford : Need: A good closer signed long term cheap, Done!
10.MTL : C. Richard : This pitcher will help MTL to revive, but there is nothing there to bring crowd to the Olympic Stadium.
11.OAK : M. Prado : Position eligibility at 1st-2nd-3rd and maybe OF will help depth in OAK
12.ANA : J. Arencibia : This is way too soon, but ANA need to get a backup at C.
