May 11, 2006

There is no mini-lesson today, so you should to work right away on your pages. This is the last full class you will have to work on your rough drafts, as they are due at the beginning of the next class (May 16). If you haven't finished your rough draft by the end of this class, you will need to do extra work at home or at school (at lunch or after school).

The "Villa Skirt" is on the Resources page, as is a new pink colour for the palette.

If the members of your group have already finished your pages, you are to begin working on your group's marketing project. The choices for this project are the following:

  1. Magazine covers (front and back, both sides) and a Table of Contents
  2. Presentation for assembly (PowerPoint)
  3. Web publishing (I've made templates - all you have to do is fill in the content)
  4. Making posters to advertise
  5. Compiling the magazine for publication
  6. Developing a sales strategy (and selling the magazine when it has been printed)

See me for details. This project will be worth 20% of Term IV.

May 4, 2006

Today's mini lesson is on the text wrapping feature of Publisher. Text wrapping controls how text is placed around a graphic or photograph.

May 2, 2006

There are two Image Composer mini-lessons for today:

As usual, you need to fill out a new log sheet for today's class, and if you still haven't done so, your long term plans need to be completed.
