Born
in Montreal in 1956, I spent much of my childhood moving from place to
place. During those years, I spent a lot of time drawing and trying my
hand at painting.
Between 1987 and 1989, I acquired a diploma in interior design at Ateliers
Imagine. In 1997, in my early 40s, my need to create reasserted itself.
Charcoal and pastel drawing classes followed and from there I discovered
my passion for painting.
Since 1998, working with Yvon Lemieux, painting has become my privileged
form of expression, whether I am doing studio or plein air painting, working
alone, in small groups or at art shows.
I have been a member of the Société Artistique de Ste-Foy
and the Association Artistique de Charlesbourg for several years and was
part of “Artistes en Route” in Château-Richer for three
years.
In the early summer of 2003, in association with seven other painters
I opened a studio, l’Atelier des Dix, on Sault-au-Matelot Street
in historic Old Québec City, where I worked and showed my work
for a year.
In 2004, I began teaching oil painting to adults.
