Since an early age, colors, atmospheres
and the qualities of light present in nature have fascinated me. My early
years spent in rural Nova Scotia left me with a love of the quiet and
beauty of back roads and country settings.
My adolescence in Chicoutimi, in the province of Québec, impressed
on me the nuances of colors and the changing quality of seasonal daylight
in the Saguenay River back country.
My inspiration often comes in the form of an atmosphere or a particular
lighting, a passing silhouette or an unusual color combination.
Outdoor painting gives me great satisfaction as it allows me to have a
front row seat at the spectacular show provided by nature.
