My name is Marc Coulombe, I'm an accounting clerk and I live in St-Félicien Quebec (Canada).
I've always liked to do odd jobs and for the past 9 years, building wood truck replica is my favourite past time. It helps me relax and get ride of stress from work.
Why trucks ? Since my childhood, trucks always have been a facination for me and it stills the case today...
This passion started in 1997. I'd bough a rooter to build some furniture in my house. But y didn't want to waste precious material with my new tool. So I decided to practice by making a small truck with some scrap wood in my workshop. My first model was born, a Mack CH 613. Why this particular model ? Simply because the dealer is only two streets away from my home. So it was easy for me to take mesurement on a real one.
After this, I rapidly saw the success of this model among my family and friends. So I decided to make an other one. With time my reputation developped and I now receive orders on a regular basis. What a great challenge building a model of a real truck, from scratch, using a simple picture. What a great feeling to see people's reaction when they take possesion of theirs scaled down truck.
Why a web site ? First, as a challenge, as I build it myself then to give myself a chance to share my passion with you.
