| Heatstroke Heatstroke is a
true medical emergency. It can be
fatal. This condition is
progressive in nature. It will
not tend to get better by itself.
Heat Stroke is the
result of the collapse of your
bodys cooling system. Sweat
stops. It generally results due
to a progression from heat
exhaustion, though in some cases
the symptoms of heat exhaustion
may have been absent.
Symptoms may
include disorientation, unusual
behavior, marked weakness. Skin
is hot and dry, since sweating
has stopped. The brain may begin
to overheat and lead to seizures.
A person suffering
from heat stroke needs emergency
medical attention.
They should be
placed in the shade. Their body
should be wet down with cool
water and fanned to aid
evaporative cooling.
As a result of
high body temperature, damage to
body organs and brain may occur.
