Hot weather riding tips

NB:

Before anyone begins to wonder, this section is not about the hot weather in Canada. Though we might get 4-5 weeks of temperatures above 100F + humidity, it never gets that hot anywhere in Canada.

This section is about temperatures that I've experienced when touring in the American South West.

It deals with extreme hot weather riding for long-distance-type rides. For example, riding a full day in high heat.

Like when I crossed the Mojave desert mid-summer and temps were 115-119F.

Of course, the tips work for lower temps too!
