I
think that as far back as I can remember,
I've always been a little bit of a
tech-gear nut. For any activity that I
undertake, I typically amass a fair
amount of technical equipment. For
example, years ago in downhill skiing, I
would typically have 5 pairs of skis. One
for GS skiing, one for slalom, one for
bumps, one for powder, and one for
"rock" skiing. Of course back
then skis were more single purpose in
nature. Today's skis are much more
versatile.
But it would be the same
with goggles and gloves. I guess that I'm
always looking for something that works
well in a given situation. Whether it's
mountain biking, hiking, etc. It's no
different for motorcycling. I'm always on
the lookout for some piece of equipment
that will make part of motorcycling a
safer or more enjoyable experience.
Of course I do a fair
amount of research. As a knowledgeable
consumer would for any purchase, I'm
always looking for objective feedback
from actual users. Feedback and product
reviews that can convey how a item
performs under given circumstances and
allow me to make a more informed
decision.
It's in that spirit that
I've put up this section of product
reviews. I make no claims for any of
these products. My reviews are meant to
relate my experience; what I've found
about how an item performs when putting
it through its paces.
Of course, your experience
may differ. But hopefully, you'll glean
an objective assessment that might be of
value to you.
