ATTENTION CHORAL SINGERS:

SIGHT SINGING AND EAR TRAINING CLASS

A FUN AND RELAXED ATMOSPHERE TO GAIN A NEW UNDERSTAING OF MUSIC AND
TO CONNECT THE VISUAL CUES OF NOTATION WITH THE SOUNDS AND RHYTHMS WE HEAR AND SING!

This small group workshop (8-10 participants) is geared toward choral singers and anyone interested in gaining the ability to sing music they have never seen before directly from sheet music. Participants will become familiar with the basic elements of music including rhythm, melody and intervals from both a theoretical and oral standpoint. Lots of singing is on the program as well as time for individual questions and one-on-one work adapted to each person.

WINTER SESSION
A ten-week class begins January 18th, 2009

SPRING SESSION
An eight-week class begins April 5th, 2009

Sunday afternoons
Crichton Cultural Community Centre
200 Crichton (New Edinburg)

Cost: 15$ per class (150$ for 10-week sessions, $120 for 8-week sessions) + photocopying costs

Beginner group: the basics - no experience necessary
Intermediate group: ongoing
