He was born around 1799. He married Eugénie Villeneuve on September 12th 1825 in Rigaud. They had seven children. Eugénie died March 18, 1840. He was remarried to Esther Papineau on Nov. 24th 1840 in St.Andrews. They had fifteen children. He died March 25th 1875 and was buried on the 27th in St.Andrews. He lived in the Beech Ridge settlement, in the parish of St.Andrews. He was 76 years old and was oftenly referred to as Joseph Robertson alias Joe Robinson.
