They are tested for perfection, before leaving the company.
These swords are used to cut maki-wara, a rolled straw (pictured right) and iron wire (a caliber of 3 mm (0.188 inches)).

They are used for Batto-do and Iai-do.
Because of their sharpness they are used especially for cutting Batto-do.
They are no ornaments.
