The hands! The hands! The hands!

A bit of variation this week. I was asked if it is true that we should use the 'putter's grip' for small 'chip' shots around the green? Definitly! Many golfers have over active hands when it comes to 'chipping' around the green. The result: imprecision both in distance and direction without forgetting club head sometimes hitting the ground before the ball.

The solution; use the 'putter's grip' with a motion driven by the shoulders back and forth.(like the putting stroke). It will help if you position your ball more to the right in your stance and also your weight on the left side. I almost forgot... the hands and wrists remain passive(keep the starting position) during the entire motion !

Good Chipping!
