Visualization

A few weeks ago, I mentionned that the best asset for a golfer when putting was his or her imagination. An amateur send me an e-mail asking me to elaborate on the topic.

Everything happens at the moment of reading a 'putt'. We have to imagine, visualize the ball's trajectories when different targets are selected. Even the targets are often the results of imagination, as an example: an imaginary ball 2 inches left of the cup. When we have elected for a given target, where we have imagined the ball going into the hole, we then commit to this target and act accordingly .

This process should be used on every shot with every club. It helps programming our subconscious.
