1.  The following booklet is a synthesis of principles of effective teaching that have emerged from research in classrooms. It addresses generic aspects of curriculum, instruction and assessment, as well as classroom organization and management practices that support effective instruction. It focuses on learning outcomes but with recognition of the need for a supportive classroom climate and positive student attitudes towards schooling, teachers and classmates.

• Aimed at Hungry Minds or Money Filled Pockets: The Impact of the Youth News Network on Canadian Students- In this paper I will describe what is the Youth News Network, what its potential benefits are to our schools and then discuss its numerous disadvantages.

• The Teacherless Classroom- In this short paper, I explore the pros. and cons. of on-line and/or distance education.

• Techno-trad Ballet- This short paper explores the similarities and differences between the mediums of print and visual media. This is followed by a discussion about their advantages and disadvantages in terms of their potential and limitations for the instruction of young children.
