All of the plants in this book are all easily propagated from cuttings taken from the mother plant.
To start your new cutting on it's way a good single cutting
should be placed in a 3 1/2 inch pot, double cutting into a
4 inch, a triple into a 4 1/2 inch, and four cuttings into a
5 inch pot.
Most of these plants will root in water, so have lots of nice small vases handy to place in shaded corners to add to the decor of your home.
Some of them grow so well in water you may want to keep them that way. Don't worry some of these plants can stay that way for years.
Make a nice clean cut six inches from the tip using a scissor or sharp knife. Cut just below a leaf joint from some new growth. Leave about three sets of leaves from the top down and place in a vase filled with lukewarm water.
Twice a month change the water refilling with water at room temperature. This will help the new roots avoid that are forming to avoid getting root rot and to keep the water sweet smelling.
Within two to three weeks when new growth starts to appear and strong white roots are formed you are ready to place them in a new pot with fresh all purpose soil and vermiculite.
