Between 1982 and 1984 I took up painting at the advice of my doctor. He asked me if I liked painting and my answer was: I never took any lessons. His suggestion was to start painting as a relaxation tool. He was right, painting is relaxing if done in moderation. As far as I was concerned, I had to finish the painting I started, the same day. That was no relaxation but an exciting and joyful challenge of accomplishment... Thus it did not produce its intended goal; instead, more than 20 paintings in a record time of 30 days. All paintings are 60x40cm. My home is now a gallery to all my framed work. The next pages display a selection of my favorite. They all bring back childhood memories of the Lebanon I always loved.

In addition to my Lebanese heritage, I am immensely proud to introduce myself as a Canadian citizen. Canada is my adopted country for the past 27 years, and I am very fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful cities in North America, Montreal,  in the province of Quebec; my family, education and social upbringing contributed largely to my adapting to the Canadian way of living. I consider myself as a Lebanese ambassador to my Lebanon because Canada as well as the rest of the world need to know that Lebanese people have education, family values, pride and love for their country in addition to their appreciation and respect to the country of adoption. Thank you Canada.
