Smart pulley

Description

The smart pulley has a built-in photogate and essentially operates like it. In addition to its pulley, it is equipped with a stand clamp. Unlike many pulleys designed with as many as 16 spokes, the smart pulley has two holes. These holes allow the interruption of the infrared beam twice per rotation and get a reasonable number of readings for the majority of experiments.

Use: The photogate lets you measure angular velocities, accelerations, and displacements.
